Brother BT5001 Ink Bottles: Color Codes, 3-Packs, and Black Combos

Brother BT5001 listings in our catalog include individual color bottles, a color 3-pack, and a black-and-color 4-pack. Read the color codes and the separate black reference before choosing a package. A color-only pack and a black-and-color combination address different replacement needs.

Match the three color codes

The BT5001 color 3-pack listing identifies these bottles in its description:

  • Cyan: BT5001C.
  • Magenta: BT5001M.
  • Yellow: BT5001Y.

The title uses “Tri-Colour,” while the description names separate cyan, magenta, and yellow bottles. Compare those individual labels with your printer's required supplies rather than treating the wording as one combined-color bottle.

Choose an individual color or the color 3-pack

The search returned individual cyan, magenta, and yellow BT5001 listings. If you need only one color, review the corresponding listing first. For one example, see the BT5001 cyan bottle listing.

If you need the three colors, review the color 3-pack's current contents and details. Its description identifies cyan, magenta, and yellow; it does not list black among those three bottles.

Read the separate black reference in the 4-pack

The Brother black-and-color 4-pack listing describes BT5001 cyan, magenta, and yellow bottles with a black bottle referenced as BTDR60BK. The listed package size is four.

That black reference is taken from the selected catalog listing, not assumed from the BT5001 color-family name. Check your printer's required black and color codes separately, and confirm the exact included bottles before ordering. A mixed package offered by a seller does not by itself establish printer compatibility.

Original-cartridge wording does not settle condition

The color listings are labeled new or pre-owned. The 4-pack description identifies original Brother bottles while also noting that inventory may be new or pre-owned and packaging conditions may vary.

Read the selected unit's condition rather than assuming an original-brand label means every package is new in identical packaging. Ask for clarification if the product page leaves uncertainty about what will be supplied.

Check capacity and yield without guessing

This guide does not assign a bottle volume or page count where the reviewed listing details do not provide one. Yield wording alone is not enough to calculate a guaranteed cost per printed page. Compare the exact product's capacity and yield information when available, alongside its current price and contents.

Confirm the printer's supply system

Find your full printer model and required bottle labels, then compare them with the selected product's compatibility information. Our guide to finding your printer model and supply number can help with that first check.

Our Brother LC201 guide covers cartridge listings, not these bottle packages. Similar colors and a shared Brother brand do not establish compatibility between supply systems.

If the required fit is not confirmed, ask before purchasing. Follow your printer manufacturer's model-specific refill instructions when using the bottles. For a broader buying checklist, start with How to Find the Right Ink for Your Printer.
